Metal, shoemaker wooden feet

Scalza is a sculpture.

Some years ago I was in Berlin and I went to a Turkish Market. There was thig guy that had a big box full of wooden feet, the ones that shoemakers use as shapes to build shoes. I bought them all and I went to the post office to send them to Italy.

Once they arrived I started thinking about what to make with all this beautiful objects.

The final idea was to make a sculpture that resembled a spinal column. The base piece is something I've found in an abandoned parachute factory in Rome.
