The Alpha Chair

I designed this chair for Rota-Lab.
I wanted to design a simple, lightweight, resistent and comfortable chair.
I called it THE ALPHA CHAIR, because I thought that it had to be essential, with nothing besides what it needed to function.
The first prototype had a flat oak seat, the chair was overall comfortable but a person once seated would slowly slide towards the front of the seat. A diagonal seat would solve the problem, and i decided to plane a whole solid piece of oak this way.
It has become a really confortable chair, with a very simple clean design.
